a trip down memory lane

Picture
Brand new for the summer of 2018, "A trip down memory lane" is our mini-series of podcasts, featuring the stories of iconic former players and managers - all sharing stories and memories of their time at our beloved club.

Just like the regular podcast, a new episode will be online to watch on our facebook page each week (although it is NOT live) and it will also be on iTunes and other podcast platforms for you to enjoy.

Please note this show may contain themes of an adult nature

A charitable act

As this show will feature in depth interviews with former players, we thought this would be a very apt way of raising money for charity, in particular the Alzheimer's Society - the country's leading dementia charity, with a number of ex-players, including Stags legend Kevin Bird, suffering from dementia.

We will be creating a donations page shortly and should we be doing any of these episodes live, will be asking for a small donation to the charity on the night in lieu of a ticket price. In addition, any funds remaining from the sponsorship will be donated to the charity

CAN WE WATCH THE RECORDING LIVE / ASK QUESTIONS/ suggest guests?

Unfortunately all episodes are pre-recorded due to work and holiday schedules of ourselves and our invited guests, and as such - the only way to watch is when the episode goes live!

As for asking questions - we will very much welcome questions from fellow fans and ahead of recording, will be posting on our social media asking for your questions and memories.

WHO IS ON THE SHOW?

We are delighted to announce that we have already secured five former players to be involved and are hopeful that more will follow, we'll be going back to the mid nineties with shot stopper Ian Bowling, into the early noughties with Bobby Hassell and relieving the horrific relegation campaign, the clubs darkest hour, with prolific striker Micky Boulding.

More will be announced shortly and if you have any suggestions on who you'd like to see involved, please get in touch! This is the show for the fans by the fans, so as ever, we welcome and value your input.

What can we expect from the show?

'A Trip Down Memory Lane' will be just that - each invited player will be sharing stories and memories from their time at Mansfield Town FC in what will be a no wholes barred show - we want the good, the bad and the ugly. Therefore we forewarn that some shows may contain strong language and may no be suitable for younger viewers!

Each show will be hosted by Craig Priest and feature Nathan Edge and Simon Mercer as contributing panelists, with live recordings produced by Cam Felton who will also be a contributor.
