Brand new for the summer of 2018, "A trip down memory lane" is our mini-series of podcasts, featuring the stories of iconic former players and managers - all sharing stories and memories of their time at our beloved club.
Just like the regular podcast, a new episode will be online to watch on our facebook page each week (although it is NOT live) and it will also be on iTunes and other podcast platforms for you to enjoy.
Please note this show may contain themes of an adult nature
WE NEED YOU!
WHO IS ON THE SHOW?
We are looking for a local business to sponsor the show which will run for a minimum of ten episodes. With a reach of over 1,000 people per episode through facebook and far more through iTunes, we are offering two methods of sponsorship - both an excellent way to get your business noticed and support the work of passionate supporters bringing stories to life.
We are looking for a main series sponsor, who will get a professionally made audio advert which will be played at the start and end of BOTH the audio and video versions of the show, the video version for the main sponsor will also include a video graphic and the company logo visible for the entirety of the show which will be around 60-90 minutes.
In addition, we are looking for an episode by episode sponsor who will receive a promotional read in each audio podcast, as well as a visual graphic at the start and end of that particular show. Both the episode sponsor and series sponsor will also get social media and website tags and will appear in our "with thanks too" on this page (to be added).
Series Sponsor cost £400
Episode Sponsor cost £50
Money raised through this sponsorship is not for profit, it is to enable us to purchase new and improved equipment for both this series and future series' of the podcast, including cameras, microphones and editorial software to create a production we can all enjoy. Interested? Please contact Craig via email email@example.com
A charitable act
As this show will feature in depth interviews with former players, we thought this would be a very apt way of raising money for charity, in particular the Alzheimer's Society - the country's leading dementia charity, with a number of ex-players, including Stags legend Kevin Bird, suffering from dementia.
We will be creating a donations page shortly and should we be doing any of these episodes live, will be asking for a small donation to the charity on the night in lieu of a ticket price. In addition, any funds remaining from the sponsorship will be donated to the charity
We are delighted to announce that we have already secured five former players to be involved and are hopeful that more will follow, we'll be going back to the mid nineties with shot stopper Ian Bowling, into the early noughties with Bobby Hassell and relieving the horrific relegation campaign, the clubs darkest hour, with prolific striker Micky Boulding.
More will be announced shortly and if you have any suggestions on who you'd like to see involved, please get in touch! This is the show for the fans by the fans, so as ever, we welcome and value your input.
What can we expect from the show?
'A Walk Down Memory Lane' will be just that - each invited player will be sharing stories and memories from their time at Mansfield Town FC in what will be a no wholes barred show - we want the good, the bad and the ugly. Therefore we forewarn that some shows may contain strong language and may no be suitable for younger viewers!
Each show will be hosted by Craig Priest and feature Nathan Edge and Simon Mercer as contributing panelists, with live recordings produced by Cam Felton who will also be a contributor.
CAN WE WATCH THE RECORDING LIVE / ASK QUESTIONS/ suggest guests?
We are working tirelessly on sorting a venue which can accommodate an audience as we would love to bring you up close and personal with some blasts from the past, however this also depends on the availability of ourselves and the episode guest - therefore we will judge this on an episode by episode basis, as soon as we know, you'll know!
As for asking questions - we will very much welcome questions from fellow fans and ahead of recording, regardless of if it is done in front of a live audience or not, will be posting on our social media asking for your questions and memories.
If you have a venue we could use, please get in contact with Craig via email firstname.lastname@example.org - please also contact us if you have a suggestion for a guest for an episode!
