What is The Mansfield Matters Podcast!
Broadcasting LIVE on our facebook page every Thursday at 6.30pm... ish! The Mansfield Matters podcast is simply four Stags fans coming together to have a good old chin-wag about all things Mansfield Town over a cuppa and some biscuits, however it's not all about us! We encourage all fans to have their say by getting involved with the live feed in the comments as, like always with Mansfield Matters, we want supporters to have a platform to share their views.
We broadcast LIVE via our facebook page on Thursday's because it's the one day where emotion of the last match is balanced with anticipation of the next, we don't get caught up in the heat of the moment and therefor create something which DOES create debate and discussion, but also something which is family friendly.
The Mansfield Matters team are Craig Priest, who founded Mansfield Matters and does the creative stuff hosting the show and most importantly makes the tea - he's joined by regular panelists Nathan Edge, Simon Mercer and Cam Felton. The good thing about the quartet is that they don't watch the games together and outside the podcast, very rarely socialise - which means the reactions to each others comments are real and it's just as conversational during the live show for them, as it is for you at home.
The podcast doesn't just stop at being LIVE on facebook, once the broadcast has finished an audio version is uploaded so you can take the show on the go via iTunes and other podcast platform you may use.
The show isn't sponsored and is not for commercial gain, however if you DO want to support the production of the show which does cost time and money, we promise that all money you give is put into the production of the show, helping to pay for things such as soundcloud, editing software, broadcast equipment and of course.... the biscuits.
It's recorded in Craig's back bedroom, although we're working on a set and permanent home, it's also best to point out that the show has no links to the club or other other media outlets which we sometimes work with, it's just four fans sitting down talking about the Stags over a cuppa.
